Changing the names to protect the innocent
I started using a new piece of software called Mindjet this week - primarily it'll be used for work purposes, but out of hours I'll be interested to see how compatible it could be for plotting pieces of writing, novel timelines, ideas and character arcs.
I've started editing DOTP, and have decided to change some of the character names, let's say to protect the innocent (namely, me). My first objective is to get the first four chapters to such a degree of quality that I can avail them as a free taster download on the website, so stay tuned. Because of the rather nichy genre of DOTP (five-a-side football murder mystery, or study on the self-fulfilment of religious eschatological prophecies, or both - take your pick!), I'm more than likely going to go down the self-publishing route once more for this second of the Üm Lout books. I'd love to hear of any editors who be willing to take a look over DOTP out of the goodness of their own heart, or for a mutually agreeable arrangement.
As an, er, taster to the taster, I've uploaded a map of The Independent Republic of Tower Hamlets, where DOTP is set, and which shows the key points of interest to the plot.
Üm!
